Let’s build a Viking Longship! You’ll need plates and bricks to build your ship. Look for elements that would make a good dragon head for the prow. How about making a red and white striped sail from paper and attach it to a long pencil or dowel rod for the mast.
Optional: Dowel rod or BBQ skewer, paper, ruler, red crayon or felt tip pen, scissors, tape.

Build your own Lego dragon. Will it be able to flap its wings or breathe fire? Is it fierce and spiky, or fast and friendly? How about sketching your dragon ideas on paper first.

Just like in How to Train Your Dragon, where creative inventions help solve tricky problems, this week, we’ll be using our engineering skills to launch food to a hungry dragon – or knock down some targets. Can you send a Lego fish flying into a dragon’s mouth?
Bring popcorn or scrap paper to make little balls to launch. See PDF for suggested Lego elements.

Create a birds eye view of the Isle of Berk. Then, give Hiccup instructions for how to find is way to the treasure.

In How to Train Your Dragon, young Vikings like Hiccup train dragons in special arenas filled with targets, obstacles, and tricky challenges. These spaces help dragons practise flying, aiming their fire, and working with their riders.
This week, your challenge is to design and build your own Dragon Training Arena using Lego!

This week we are going to build a dragon that ‘flies’ down a zip wire!
You will need:
Thread, string or ribbon for zip wire
Two supports (chairs, doorknob, stair banister, etc.)
Session 8:
Dragon cave and erupting volcano (Click here)

You will need:
- A small plastic cup or bottle.
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Washing liquid
- Red or orange food colouring
- Lots of bricks.
