Welcome to a playful, creative and collaborative space where children learn to code together through creating imaginative games, animations and stories!
In the Story STEAM Scratch Coding Club, children aged 8+ learn to build their own interactive stories, animations, and games using the beginner-friendly Scratch platform. Whether they’re brand new to coding or already confident creators, the Story STEAM Coding Club is designed to support all levels with fun, hands-on projects that grow real coding skills and develop computational thinking.
With a growing library of video tutorials and printable guides, members can complete projects at their own pace and share for feedback or help if they need it.
TOPICS: ‘Vikings and Dragons’, ‘The Fairground’, ‘Classic Arcade Games,’ ‘Educational and Brain Training Games’, ‘Music and Art’.

Scratch Coding Club
When you join Scratch Coding Club, you’ll gain access to our library of video tutorials and printable guides. These step-by-step ‘pausable’ videos, guide your child through creative coding challenges at their own pace. There are printable guides to accompany every video too.
What you need:

A computer or laptop with internet access.
- A second screen to watch tutorials and/or join live sessions while coding at the same time.
(This could be a smart TV or monitor connected to your laptop). -
A free Scratch account – https://scratch.mit.edu/

No previous coding experience is required – just a willingness to learn and play!
How it Works:
🔹 Choose your project and pace:
- Pick from the growing library of Scratch coding challenges.
- Print out accompanying PDF guide.
- Follow step-by-step tutorials while learning new coding skills at your child’s own pace.
- Get support or share wins via the parents and carers’ WhatsApp group.
🔹 New projects added every week in term time: (See calendar)
- There’s already a large bank of video tutorials and printable resources in Scratch Coding Club!
- Each term*, we launch a brand-new theme and new tutorials and printable guide are added each week.
- Each topic consists of at least 5 projects but it’s usually more!
🔹 Live group learning:
- Live online sessions (when running) offer a chance to explore ideas together, test our code, solve problems, and take on extra challenges.
- Each live session is limited to a maximum of 15 children, so everyone gets a chance to share, ask questions, and be supported. There is also support available via the parents and carers’ WhatsApp group.
