180° standard servo motor
360° continuous servo motor (available here)

You can connect a single servo motor directly to your micro:bit using 3 x ‘male pin to crocodile clip’ leads or a simple servo controller board like this one.

Week 8

Live session – Add lights to your fairground ride

Pre-recording – Helter skelter with lights make-along

Adult supervision required

Add lights to your helter skelter and control them using your microbit.

You will need: 
A set of battery operated fairy lights* that you don’t mind experimenting with! (ie cutting the battery case off). *They should be no more than 2 AA or AAA batteries (3 volt).
NEVER experiment with mains power! 

You will also need 2 x crocodile clip leads.
